Bet Types
phl888 offers two main modes of sports wagering: pre-match betting before the game starts, and live in-play betting while the action is ongoing. Both are available across the main sports categories and give Filipino players different ways to engage with their favourite events.
In-play betting on phl888 lets you place wagers after the game has started. Odds shift in real time based on what's happening on the court, pitch, or ring. If the PBA game you backed takes an unexpected turn in the second quarter, the live market lets you respond — by hedging, pressing your advantage, or simply enjoying the added layer of involvement that in-play brings.
Pre-match betting is the traditional form — you review the odds before the game and lock in your bet ahead of tip-off or kick-off. This suits players who prefer to analyse form, head-to-head records, and lineups before committing. Markets for major games typically open days in advance on phl888, giving you plenty of time to plan.
Back one side to win the game. The most straightforward bet type and usually the entry point for new sports bettors on phl888.
One team is given a head start or deficit in points. Common in basketball betting and levels the odds when one team is a heavy favourite.
Bet on whether the combined score of both teams will go over or under a set number. Popular for NBA and PBA games on phl888 where scoring runs high.
Combine multiple selections into one bet for higher potential returns. All picks must win for the parlay to pay out — higher risk, higher reward.
Bet on who will win a tournament or championship before it concludes. Pick the PBA Governor's Cup winner or the Champions League champion before the final.
Wager on individual player performance — points scored, assists, goals, or other statistical milestones within a specific match.

That deep connection to sport is exactly why phl888's sports section resonates with Filipino players.
Basketball is the clear number one. The PBA — the Philippine Basketball Association — draws passionate support from fans across all the islands, and phl888 covers it with a full range of markets during every conference. The NBA runs alongside it, giving Filipino fans another season's worth of betting action on their favourite American teams and stars. When big playoff series are on, phl888 often has some of the more competitive odds on display.

Women's volleyball, powered by the PVL and UAAP, has built one of the most engaged sports audiences in the country.
